From 2006–10, I was the founding artistic director of Sloss Performing Arts/MUSE OF FIRE, an immersive Shakespeare project at a 125-year old National Historic Landmark restored blast furnace in Birmingham, Alabama.
I conceived of and managed the 50+ artist company and directed our productions, which encompassed full-length shows and shorter walking tours. I continue to remotely manage 12-year client relationships for school workshops.
Our metrics of success included regularly selling out 300+ audiences, robust and consistent local press coverage, and a mention in the New York Times.
