Elizabeth Hunter, Lead PI

Assistant Professor of Theatre Studies and Director of Fabula(b) Theatre + New Media Incubator, College of Liberal and Creative Arts at San Francisco State University

Dr. Elizabeth Hunter’s digital adaptations of canonical plays have been supported by Microsoft and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in the Arts, and her scholarship has been published in Text and Performance Quarterly, International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media, Theatre Topics, and the edited book Research Methods in the Digital Humanities. Before returning to academia, Dr. Hunter founded an immersive Shakespeare company in a restored blast furnace in Birmingham, Alabama. She holds a PhD in Theatre from Northwestern University, an MFA in Dramaturgy from Columbia University, and a BA in English from the University of Michigan.
